The bathroom has to be the worst room in the house to clean. No one wants to clean the bathroom. It's a day-long job that can leave you wanting to run away from home. However, there are some hacks you can use that will make things so much easier. Whether it's using toilet bowl cleaner on your floor or olive oil on your fixtures, you'll love these bathroom cleaning hacks.
Use Toilet Bowl Cleaner on Floor Tile Grout
Do you hate to scrub the grout between your bathroom floor tiles? Then don't. All you need to do is take toilet bowl cleaner that contains bleach and run the tip of the container along the grout lines. You need to do this quickly or it goes everywhere. Allow it set for 10 to 15 minutes and then mop your floor. You won't believe how clean your grout lines will be.
Keep Your Toilet Brush Holder From Stinking with All-Purpose Cleaner
If you use a regular toilet brush along with a toilet brush holder, you may have an odor coming from your bathroom. Easily eliminate this odor by pouring a good smelling all-purpose cleaner into the holder. It will kill the germs and keep your bathroom smelling fresh.
Combine Baking Soda and White Vinegar for a Natural Abrasive Cleaner
You don't have to reach for harsh chemicals to clean your tub and shower. Instead, combine baking soda with vinegar to create a paste. The paste is abrasive enough to remove soap scum and the vinegar sanitizes the area. Best of all, this cleaner costs pennies to make. My favorite Bathroom Soap Scum Remover containers vinegar, Dawn dish detergent, and corn starch...and it works better than a store-bought cleaner!
Rub Faucets with Olive Oil to Make Them Shine
Once you've cleaned your bathroom faucets and handles with baking soda and vinegar to remove the soap scum, use a cloth to rub olive oil over the surfaces. Once you're done, go back and buff off the oil and you'll be left with shiny fixtures.
Pour Baking Soda and Vinegar Down Drains to Remove Clogs
Last, but not least, pour baking soda down your bathtub and sink drains and follow with white vinegar. The reaction of the two will cause a bubbling effect that will unclog your drains. This will also kill any gnats that may be living in your drains and wash away their eggs.
