When I'm cleaning our shower, I tend to forget to look up to the showerhead and clean it also. Â But, over time, it builds up deposits on the head and can even eventually block the water from coming through.
So, every once in awhile, I use this this super easy DIY Showerhead Cleaner.  It takes only a few ingredients that you probably already have on hand and a few minutes of your time.  You'll need:
- Distilled White Vinegar
- Plastic Bag
- Tie or Rubber Band
We moved into our house about two and a half years ago, and as far as I know the showerhead has never been cleaned.  We had a small mineral deposit on the bottom of the showerhead, so I added enough vinegar to a plastic bag to cover the entire showerhead and attached it with a rubber band.
Leave the bag over your showerhead for about 12 hours. Â When you take the bag off, you may need to scrub with a toothbrush to get any residue off. Â I kept the vinegar on my showerhead for about 6 hours. Â When I took it off, it was completely clean with no scrubbing needed.

Great minds think alike!!! I just did this on Monday this week, too. I went on a vinegar cleaning spree in my house. I also through my shower curtain liner in with a load of towels and vinegar. Stopping by from Frugal Friday. Have a great weekend!
