Sausage balls are our go-to party food recipe. We make them for Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and as football snacks. They are the perfect snack for family and friends, and even better...they are super easy to make.
You can make them ahead and store them already rolled into balls in the fridge or freezer so that you just need to pull them out, pop them on a baking tray, and cook just when you need them.
I tend to use regular or mild sausage for the kids (but spicy is super yummy for the adults or kids who don't mind a little spice).
Sausage and Cheese Balls Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb. spicy sausage (or mild or regular if you have kids that don't like spicy)
- 1 cup Bisquick
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients together well (I use my Kitchen Aid mixer).
- Roll into balls.
- Bake on a tray with sides (to catch any grease) at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
If you want to cook the sausage balls after freezing them, you can warm them at 300 degrees for 10 minutes and then bake as normal.
