These Spiderweb Cupcakes are so cute and fun to make for Halloween.
Although it can be a bit intimidating at first to create your own spider web and spiders out of chocolate, it's really quite easy and looks so cute!
You can even trace your pattern on a piece of paper under the parchment paper if you're nervous about drawing them freehand with chocolate and just trace it!
You'll need some cupcakes (either homemade or premade), cupcake liners, frosting, white chocolate and milk chocolate melts (which you can pick up at your local craft store or even in the craft section at Walmart), black sugar sprinkles, and plain and peanut M&M's.
First, frost the cupcakes. If you buy premade cupcakes that already have frosting on them, you can just place the spiderweb and spider chocolate on top of the premade cupcakes.
Melt the white chocolate according to the directions on the package and put it in a small plastic bag for piping. Cut a small slit from the corner of the bag. On a parchment lined baking sheet, pipe the spider webs with the white chocolate, a bit larger than the cupcake tops and let dry.
If you aren't confident in your ability to freehand spiderwebs, you can create a pattern on a piece of paper and then place it under the parchment and trace the pattern.
Melt the milk chocolate per package directions and put in a small plastic bag for piping. Pipe small spiders on parchment paper. Start with a dime sized dot of chocolate and add 4 legs on each side.
Sprinkle the black sugar sprinkles over the spiders and place an M&M on the chocolate dot. Let dry.
After the chocolate is completely dry, peel it off the paper. Set a web on each cupcake, and then set a spider on top of each web. If you want to secure the spider to the web, you can attach it using a small dot of frosting or melted chocolate.
