Do you have glass baking dishes that have crusted on grease and other stuff around the edges? It seems like no matter how long you scrub them, that gunk just won't come off!
Here's an easy solution to getting rid of the baked-on gunk from your glass baking dishes - distilled white vinegar!
That's right! I added a small amount of vinegar to the bottom of my baking dish and then soaked paper towels in vinegar and draped them over the edges of the dish so that it was all covered in vinegar.
I let it sit for about 10 minutes (although you can do longer for heavier messes) and then I took an old toothbrush to quickly wipe the gunk off the dish.
Super easy and my dish has never been cleaner since we received it as a wedding gift!

Perhaps your dish had more gunk than mine on it? It worked great for me when I tried it personally. My dishes weren't super dirty, but it came right off with very little scrubbing!

I go through a gallon/week of white vinegar. I use it instead of fabric softener (straight), to get stuck-on stuff off ceramic tile, and many other things, but this - this does NOT WORK. Your experience was either a fluke, or your gunk wasn'tnas sruck on as you thought it was. Sorry.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. It worked for me, and vinegar has helped me to clean other many things too. What's your favorite suggestion for cleaning a glass baking dish?
