I'm a bit scared of the germs in my toilet, so I usually use harsh chemicals to get the sucker clean. However, I wanted to see how natural ingredients would perform to get the ring out of the toilet bowl.
What you'll need:
- 1 cup Baking Soda
- 1 cup Distilled White Vinegar
- Toilet Brush
I sprinkled the baking soda into the toilet, trying to make sure it covered the ring in the toilet bowl. Then, I slowly poured the vinegar onto the baking soda. It immediately started to fizzle as it reacted with the baking soda.
Then, I set the timer and let it sit for 5 minutes to do its thing. When the timer went off, I used the toilet brush to clean all the dirty spots, which came right off. Flush the toilet, and you're good to go!

I think I would be inclined to put the vinegar in a spray bottle to spray it on the vinegar.

Did you not do the volcano experiment in Science Class in the 4th grade? When baking soda meets vinegar it foams. That's why you pour the vinegar in SLOWLY. It's chemistry so use equal amounts of each to get the reaction intended. That's why a spray bottle doesn't really work as well.
