Cinnamon Hot Chocolate Cookie Bars Recipe
Celebrate the holidays (and the cold) with this Cinnamon Hot Chocolate Cookie Bars recipe. They have a fun combination of cinnamon and hot chocolate to make a delicious cookie!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1 Cup brown sugar
- ½ Cup melted butter
- 1 Egg
- 2 Tbsps ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the frosting
- ¼ Cup cocoa powder
- ¼ Cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- ¼ Cup whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a large bowl beat the egg and add the all-purpose flour, butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
- Mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
- Press the dough into the baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.
- While waiting, mix in a bowl the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, butter, whipped cream. Mix until well incorporated and fluffy.
- Take the baking dish out of the oven and let it cool down.
- Cut into bite-sized pieces and spread the frosting on top.
- Serve and enjoy
