34 Crockpot Meals for When It's Too Hot to Cook

During the summer when temperatures are hitting the 100's, it feels like my air conditioning is running constantly. The last thing that I want to do is heat up the house in late afternoon/early evening when it's the hottest just to cook dinner.

My solution is to cook dinner in the crockpot. Not only are these crockpot meals easy to prepare, but they don't heat up the kitchen quite as much. If you're worried about even the heat from the crockpot, you can plug it in outside on your back porch!
