If you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, you may want to decorate your table to look its finest. However, that doesn't mean you need to spend a lot of money.
There are so many things you can do that will make the table look beautiful without breaking the bank. Whether you create a festive runner or stick with solid colored dinnerware, there are cheap ways to decorate your table for Thanksgiving.
Create a Festive Table Runner
At the Dollar Tree, you can find felt place mats in different shapes and colors. Choose shapes and colors you like and then use hot glue to glue the edges together to create a runner. Depending on the length of your table, you'll spend $5 to $10 to create a custom runner that has a very festive look.
Use Floral, Ribbon, Stones, and Hurricane Vases to Create a Centerpiece
You'll want a decorative centerpiece to place on top of the runner. Again, you can find everything you'll need at the Dollar Tree.
Fill the bottom of the vases with decorative rock or stone and then arrange fall floral pieces in each vase. Next glue ribbon in fall colors around the vases.
It's nice to use different sized vases so that you can have varied height in your centerpiece.
Purchase Charger Plates From the Dollar Tree
The Dollar Tree also has plastic charger plates in gold and silver. These are the perfect start to a beautiful table setting. You can also find inexpensive chargers at Michael's.
Stick with Solid Color Dinnerware
It doesn't matter how inexpensive your dinnerware is – if everything is in solid colors, your tablescape will look amazing.
The Dollar Tree has fall-colored dinnerware or you can find a nice white set at almost any discount department store, such as Walmart or Big Lots.
Decorate the Buffet Table with Dollar Tree Finds
Last, but not least, if you want to add a bit of flare to your buffet table, shop the Dollar Tree. You can find leaves, acorns, and other small decorative items that will dress up the table.
You don't have to spend a lot of money to decorate your table this Thanksgiving. In fact, you can find many of the items you need at your local Dollar Tree.
With a small bit of money and a few DIY skills, you can create a Thanksgiving table that you can be proud of without breaking the bank.
