As a frugal shopper, one of the items that you should be aware of is the unit price of each item that you're buying. You may think that the bulk item is cheaper than the smaller one, but that's not always so. In this time of rising gas and grocery prices, one of the things that companies are doing is decreasing the size of their products rather than increasing the overall price. The normal shopper may not notice that they are then paying higher unit prices for the item.
There is a website called mouseprint.org which tracks the fine print that flashes on the screen during commercials, but they also track which companies/items are decreasing their package size. Click here to see some of the products that are getting smaller.
