Today, I was at Bath & Body Works to get my niece a gift using this coupon for a free item (up to $13 with any $10 purchase. It was a good deal...I was going to get a Body Splash and a Lotion for only $12. They were also having a sale for Buy 3 Signature Collection items, get 2 free, but I didn't really need that many...just the 2 items that I was going to purchase.
However, when I got to the register, the cashier mentioned that if I purchased 2 more items, I'd get 3 free items with the coupon (in other words, Buy 3, Get 3 free). I heard lots of "free", so I got caught up in the moment and went to pick out more items. I did purchase more items for my niece's birthday and got some additional items for myself (from hubby), but did I really need them? I think I would have been better off just sticking with the items that I had planned on purchasing.
What about you? Have you ever purchased more than you were planning, because the "deal" got the better of you?

Yes! I am horrible!!!! When I try to justify it to DH - but it was 75% off - he always comes back with "but 75% off of nothing is still nothing!"

I love Victorias secret lotion and they are running buy 7 for $35 and get one more free. I did get extras and it will work for gifts but I always get irritated at myself when I get home. Bath & Body works is the worst on foaming soaps for me!!!

Yes, shamefully I admit I have fallen for the "buy more, get more free" deals. I think I need therapy. 🙂

This is one of the main reasons why I don't carry (own) credit cards and only bring the exact $ amount that I plan to spend.
I too am addicted to deals & free. This helps me a lot since I seek out deals to save my family money, however when I buy things for the sake of free or deal rather than genuine want or need then I am wasting it.
I hope this tip is helpful.
