For a limited time, you can buy the Kindle books from the Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke for only $1.99 (86% off) each from Amazon.
About the first book in the series:
Love Comes Softly introduced the characters of Marty and Clark Davis, whose tragic circumstances brought them to a "marriage of convenience" on the frontier prairies during the mid 1800s. The story of how Clark's patient, caring love mirrored that of the heavenly Father, drawing Marty to faith and to love, has captured the hearts and imaginations of over one million readers on Book One alone!
Please note: Kindle prices tend to change quickly, so be sure to check that the total still says $1.99 before you "purchase" it.
You don't need to have an actual Kindle to read the FREE Kindle books (although the price has dropped to only $69 for the cheapest Kindle Reader). You can read Kindle books on your computer, iPhone, computer, and more.
Between the FREE books from Amazon and Kindle books I've checked out from the library, I've been having so much fun reading on my iPad. I really thought I wouldn't like not having a physical book, but I love it.

I just finished reading the unforgivable Secret by Janette Oke..... I love downloading on my Kindle your books, but it's so frustrating to read the first book and then they don't have the rest of the series, this also true with some of the other series..... Regular Library does not carry... Any suggestions. Thank you Betty Miles

I run into that same problem and it can be frustrating! I'm pretty sure they offer the first book in series for free so that we want to go out and buy the rest of the series.
You've already tried one of my tactics (look at the library). Have you checked whether your library has interlibrary loan? If you live in a big area, sometimes libraries band together and you can borrow from other libraries in the area (and they'll even send the book to your local branch).
My other solution is to buy the next book if I REALLY want to read it (and it's below a certain price that I'm willing to pay). And the third thing that I do is start reading another book quickly. I find if I can get absorbed in another book then I can forget that I really want to continue reading that series and I save myself the money :-).
And, sometimes if you wait long enough other books in the series will eventually pop up as free. I've gotten a few whole series that way (but it's rare).
Good luck...and I'm glad you enjoy downloading Kindle freebies!
