In my quest for a slower and more meaningful December spent with friends and family, I plan on completing 30 Days of tasks to get ready for Christmas before Thanksgiving...and I invite you to join me.
Day 12: Plan Holiday Decor
Now that you know what holiday decor you already have, now's the time to start planning where it's going to go and if you need to buy anything to add to your collection.
You certainly don't need to start decorating for Christmas now (unless you want to!), but just start thinking about where it's going to go and if you need to purchase any supplies to help you hang things, etc.
If you feel like you have some missing areas, you should know whether it's in your budget to buy a few things now. Or maybe you could wait and add a few things for next year during the discounted after-Christmas sales. You really don't have to have a perfectly decorated house all in one year. Some of the fun is planning strategic pieces to purchase each year.
Our Holiday Decor:
I certainly can't say that we have the perfectly decorated house for Christmas. We put up our Christmas tree and a few Christmas knickknacks, but my favorite decor I love is to sit in a darkened room looking at our Christmas lights on the tree and listening to Christmas music.
Like I mentioned yesterday, I do plan on putting up my German Christmas decorations (like a German Nutcracker, Smoker, Pyramid, and Candelabra and I'm really excited about that.
What about you?
