Why You Should Host a Cookie Exchange

Do you love to have a variety of cookies available during the holidays? Do you love to spend time with your friends? Then check out these 5 reasons why you should host a cookie exchange this year.

Who doesn’t love cookies? There are so many great recipes to try. The problem is finding the time to make several batches. Instead of trying to make all the cookies yourself, why not host a cookie exchange? Not only is this a great way to spend some time with the girls this holiday season, but you’ll also get to sample a variety of delicious cookies. Here are just a few reasons why you should host a cookie exchange.

It’s a Great Way to Connect with People During the Holidays

We’re all so busy during the holiday season that it can be hard to find time to spend with your friends. Each year, why not host a cookie exchange? You can not only trade cookies and recipes, but have fun drinking hot chocolate and watching holiday romances. The holidays can be stressful. Why not spend one evening doing something that takes your mind off the stress?

Ever notice how cookie recipes make so many? If you don’t want to be stuck with a bunch of one flavor, a cookie exchange is a great idea. You can enjoy a few of your favorite recipe, but also enjoy delicious cookies that everyone else makes.

It’s a Great Way to Get New Recipes

If you love to bake, but like to try recipes that are tried and true, a cookie exchange is a perfect holiday activity. You can try several different kinds of cookies and then keep the recipes for the ones you liked best. This way you’re not spending a lot of money to make cookies that end up being a total flop.

It’s Affordable

If you and your friends want to do something special this holiday season, but don’t have the money to buy everyone in your circle gifts, do a cookie exchange. It’s a great way to give something to your friends without breaking the bank.

It’s Fun

Last, but not least, a cookie exchange is fun to host. Everyone shows up with tons of cookies and then everyone gets different cookies to take home. You can even have pretty boxes for everyone to put their cookies in.

When I lived in Michigan, a friend of mine hosted a cookie exchange every year, and it was great.  We spent an evening together having fun, and my family got a nice variety of cookies to enjoy throughout the holidays!

A cookie exchange is the perfect way to get together with your friends this holiday season. Not only will everyone love getting to try all the different cookies, but you’ll love spending time with all your friends.
