Last night, my family and I were really excited to see Disney on Ice again. Once again, we were all enthralled with the skill of the skaters, the costumes, and special effects. I was amazed by the Ring of Fire in the ice (thankfully Jolyn warned me so I had my camera ready!)
The show this time was Disney on Ice: Let's Celebrate! It included many different celebrations including a Very Merry Unbirthday, a Valentine's Ball with the Disney Princesses, Halloween with the Disney Villains, Christmas with the Toy Story characters, and much more.
After the show, I asked my kids (age 6 and 3) what their favorite parts were. My 3 year old answered that he loved a scene with Mickey wearing the magician's hat and the brooms skating around him (from Fantasia) as well as the Toy Story part. My husband had to work extra hard to keep my 3-year old in his seat during Toy Story, since he insisted that he needed to go down to tell Buzz Lightyear, "Hi!".
My 6-year old's favorite part was the "bad guys". Before going to see the show, I had heard from others who had seen this show that the Halloween part could be scary for little kids (and I agree that the skeleton head guy and "ghouls" could be scary). However, my 6-year old son has an odd fascination with the "bad guys", so he liked it :-).
There are still 2 shows left this weekend at the Palace in Auburn Hills:
- Sun, February 28 at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm
Use coupon code MOM to get 4 tickets for only $44 (not valid on rinkside or VIP tickets) when you place your order line (either Disney on Ice or Ticketmaster), by phone, or at the Palace box office.
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, but Feld Entertainment did provide my family with tickets to see the Disney on Ice show. The opinions are all mine!
