During the school year, it's difficult to get dinner on the table - between homework, sports, and activities after school. Some nights I feel like I barely have time to breathe, let alone make a dinner for my family! That's why I'm always looking for ways to cut corners on meals.
One of my meal shortcuts is buying Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips at Walmart to help me save time on the chicken part of dinner. I just pull the grilled chicken breast strips out of the freezer, add additional ingredients, and dinner practically makes itself! Each package of Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips is fully cooked, 100% all-natural, 97% fat free, and made with all-white meat.
Plus, each package of Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips (and other participating Tyson® products) has a label that you can clip for the Tyson Project A+™ program. For every label submitted, Tyson will give your school cash that the school can use for whatever it needs.
My family really enjoys it when I make these Chicken Quesadillas with Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips:
Ingredients:
2 cups Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips
4 Large Tortillas
½ Chopped Onion
2 cups Shredded Mexican Cheese
Directions:
Chop half an onion and sautee on the stove with olive oil. Thaw 2 cups of Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips in the microwave for 2 minutes and cut into smaller pieces. Add ½ chicken, ½ shredded Mexican cheese and sauteed onion to one half of a tortilla. Fold over and heat in either a George Foreman grill or the stove top for several minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream and salsa.
What about you? Do you use shortcuts like Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips to help you get dinner on the table on those busy nights?
