There are lots of Halloween freebies floating around, so I thought I’d compile a list.  I’ll keep adding to it as I find more freebies:

Food

  • Chipotle: Visit any participating Chipotle on Halloween after 6 p.m. dressed as a burrito, burrito bowl, taco, or salad and get a FREE Burrito! (thanks Sara the Savvy Shopper!)
  • Taco Bell: Get a free Black Jack Taco when you visit between 6pm and midnight on Halloween
  • Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes: Kids eat free on Friday 10/30 and Saturday 10/31 when they wear a costume (with regular priced adult meal purchase) (thanks The Frugal Girls!)
  • Abuelos: When you visit with your kids 12 and under dressed in costumes, you will receive a free kid’s meal (up to 2 kids meals per adult entree) – valid all day on Halloween
  • Sonic: Stop by for $0.50 corn dogs between 5 pm and 10 pm Halloween night.  Plus, Tampa area Sonics are offering free Cherry Limeades from 2-5 pm

Retail

  • Sears: Bring your child to the Sears Toy Shop on October 31st dressed in their Halloween costume and get a FREE Mattel toy – only valid at VERY select locations…click here to find the participating stores. (thanks Deal Seeking Mom!)
  • Toys R Us – Kids can visit Toys R Us on Halloween between noon and 3 pm in costume and receive a reusable bag, which they can fill up with goodies and giveaways (while supplies last).  Employees will also be dressed up and Geoffrey the Giraffe will be in-store.
  • Michaels: Visit on 10/31 between 10 am and 12 pm.  Visit Michaels for a free trick-or-treat pail, various small crafts, and candy.  Of course the freebies are only while supplies last.
  • Lakeshore Learning Store – they have a weekly in-store activity for kids, age 3 and up.  The events take place between 11 and 3 in every store.  On Halloween, your child can make a Batty Buddy.
  • Meijer – Visit Meijer between 11 and 2 for fun Halloween activities like trick or treating, Halloween bags (while 500 per store last), and candy, treats, etc.

Please leave a comment if I missed an event.

Our local Qdoba had a sign for a free kids meal if they showed up in costume on Halloween. You might look into it to see if it’s nationwide…

I wrote an article about Halloween freebies that you might want to check out. Some of them are local (DFW) but most are chain stores. http://www.examiner.com/x-14587-Fort-Worth-Frugal-Family-Examiner~y2009m10d13-Fort-Worth-trickortreating-alternatives
