CVS $5 Challenge – week of 11/29

by Corrie @ "Cents"able Momma on November 28, 2009

The goal of this CVS challenge is to come up with up to 3 scenarios where the total spent out of pocket is $5, while still growing your ECB’s. I’m going to assume that you start out with zero ECB’s to start with, or it makes it too difficult for others to follow. If you do have ECB’s to start, you can reduce your OOP to almost zero.

For more information on the abbreviations used in this post, please see my Coupons 101 article. For more information about shopping at CVS, visit my CVS 101 article.

Well, the deals are not that great this week…I guess they’re all “dealed out” after the Black Friday deals :-) .  I picked up a ton of stuff during their 3-day sale.

Transaction #1

Buy Oral-B single manual toothbrush Advantage or Cross Action $2.99
Use $0.75 QP from 10/11 PG or 11/1 PG (exp 11/30)

Total after Coupons: $2.24
ECB’s Earned: $2.00

That’s it…I don’t see much else worth purchasing…

Total Purchase Price (before QP’s and ECB’s): $2.99
Total OOP: $2.24

ECB’s Left: $2.00
