Let’s face it. Babies use a lot of diapers. As the parent, and the one who buys the diapers, it may seem like you’re throwing money away because you are. It’s the same with trash bags and toilet paper. These are items that are literally meant to be thrown away shortly after use. Who wants to pay full price on such things? Let’s take a closer look at how to save money on diapers.
Feed Your Child a Healthy Diet
You’re going to go through a lot more diapers when your child has an upset stomach. Make every effort to feed your child a healthy diet to help prevent stomach issues as much as possible. While stomach viruses are harder to avoid, you can feed your child a healthy diet.
Match Sales and Promotions to Coupons
Many stores have sales and promotions on diapers. Some even have diaper clubs that allow you to get free diapers after purchasing so many packages. Always match your coupons to these sales and promotions. This will allow you to save so much money. In some cases, you may even get free diapers or even be paid to purchase them. You can often find diaper coupons in the Sunday paper and on Coupons.com. You can also visit the website of diaper manufacturers to check for coupons (or search my coupon database).
Consider Using Cloth Diapers Part Time
It’s not ideal to use cloth diapers all the time. After all, no one wants to carry around a used diaper in their diaper bag. When at home, however, you can easily use cloth diapers to save money. Being able to pop diapers in the wash will greatly cut down on the amount of diapers you have to purchase. This may mean doing a load of diapers each day, but the savings can be well worth it.
Shop Drugstores
This may seem like a crazy idea. Drugstores are often overpriced. On the other hand, these stores usually have amazing sales. When you match those sales to coupons, you can get great deals. Many drugstores also have programs that let you earn cash back, such as Walgreen’s Points system. You can cash in your Points to purchase diapers. Lastly, diapers can often be found in the clearance section and matched with coupons for big savings.
You don’t have to go broke buying diapers. There are so many easy things you can do to cut the amount spent.
