I love to make cute recipes for the holidays that both adults and kids will love, and these Nutter Butter Turkeys are super fun and taste delicious (yum...Nutter Butters!).
Cut the fruit leather into feathers using clean kitchen shears or a sharp utility knife. Shape discarded pieces into a turkey beak and waddle. All you need is some Nutter Butter cookies, fruit leather, a bit of melted chocolate, and candy eyeballs to create these treats for Thanksgiving. They'd be perfect for a Thanksgiving party or as a fun Thanksgiving dessert.
Using a butter knife, slice open the Nutter Butter cookies. Place feathers along the top and press the cookie back together.
Using a toothpick, place a dot of melted chocolate on the Nutter Butter cookie. Press the beak and waddle into one side of the chocolate dot and then affix the eye directly on top of the chocolate. Allow the melted chocolate to set completely before serving.
To speed the process, place the cookies in the refrigerator or freezer just until hardened. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Placing in the refrigerator for extended amounts of time may cause the cookies to soften.
