School just started this week for both my boys. Although a new school year brings a new classroom and new teachers, the one thing that stays the same is my boys school. This is the third year they've been attending their school, and we love it!
Both the teachers and the staff are great, and the academics are excellent. But, it's how much they love the kids that set them apart in my mind. No matter what challenges they might have in regards to materials and extras, they love the kids and they show it!
Our school (as with many schools) often holds fundraisers to raise money for various projects. For example, they are in the process of installing a smart media center complete with computers and smart boards. And last year, they installed rubber mulch on the playground to make it safer than the old wood mulch.
Other than just donating money to the fundraisers, I love being able to support the school in other ways. That's why I like the Tyson Project A+™ program, where you can clip and collect Tyson Project A+™ labels from participating Tyson® packages. For every label submitted, Tyson will give your school cash and the school can use the money for whatever it needs.
Collecting labels from products that we use anyway (like Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips ) to help our school earn some extra money for projects, is a super easy way for me to support our school.
To help your school get started, you can nominate your school for the Tyson Project A+™ contest through 9/6/15. It's easy to do – just log into your Walmart.com account and submit why your school deserves a head start. You can nominate your school once per day, and you will get the option to share your post on your social media feeds to encourage your friends to join the nominations also. The top 5 schools with the most nominations will each win $1,000 worth of extra Tyson Project A+™ labels.
If your school doesn't already participate in the Tyson Project A+™ program, you can encourage them to join and start saving your labels!
