When you rent the movie, you need to choose whether to download it and watch it later or Stream it instantly.  Once you choose, you can’t switch.  You have 30 days to watch the video, but once you start watching it, you need to finish it within 48 hours.  Amazon Instant Video works with select devices like Roku and Tivo to watch the movie on your TV or you can watch it on your computer.
