There are several free kids activities this weekend:
- Home Depot: on Saturday (8/6) from 9 am to noon, visit your local Home Depot to build a Pencil Box. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin.
- Lakeshore Learning Store: on Saturday (8/6), from 11 am – 3 pm, visit Lakeshore Learning Center to create a free Space Craft.
- AC Moore: visit Saturday (8/6) between 1 and 3 pm for a free Pom Pom Monsters Make & Take. Visit Wednesday (8/10) from 3 pm to 5 pm for a Free Perier Biggie Bead Charms Kids Make & Take.
- Archiver’s: visit Archiver’s on Friday or Saturday nights from 5-11 pm for six undisturbed hours of scrapbooking and socializing. Just pay a $5 reservation fee to save your spot. Then when you arrive, you’ll receive a $5 merchandise voucher to use that night. August is Make-n-Take Month – visit August 4-5th to make a free card while learning how to make quilled embellishments.
- Babies R Us: visit Babies R Us on Tuesday (8/9) at 6:30 pm for a free Breast Feeding Workshop.
- Bass Pro: visit Bass Pro on Saturday (8/5-21/11) for the Fall Hunting Classic 2011 – test drive ATV’s, enjoy daily specials, attend the free Bass Pro-Shops Hunting University, and more.
- Bank of America: Museums on Us: This weekend (8/6-8/7/11), each Bank of America cardholder gets free admission to over 100 museums nationwide.
- Target: Check for FREE museum events in a city near you
- Walmart: there are several in-store events this weekend. Check your local store for hours and participation
