Fun Easter Ideas

in Easter,Frugal Friday

As with Christmas, there are many factors competing for our attention at Easter.  Last year, I did a series on various ways to keep the focus on Christ at Easter.  Some highlights include:

Other Ideas from Readers

  • Hide a few empty eggs along with those filled with candy to remind your kids that the tomb was empty
  • This reader creates her own Resurrection Eggs – I get a dozen plastic Easter eggs with different items in them symbolic of a part of the Easter story and an accompanying Scripture.
  • Take a “new life walk” outdoors, searching out tiny shoots, sprouting buds on trees and eggs in birds’ nests.

Those are great ideas! Thanks! I was contemplating doing an Easter tree (from the Holy Experience blog) but it seems overwhelming this year and maybe a little much for my little ones. Maybe we’ll save the Easter tree until they’re older.
