CVS $5 Challenge – week of 1/24

January 23, 2010

in CVS $5 Challenge

The goal of this CVS challenge is to come up with up to 3 scenarios where the total spent out of pocket is $5, while still growing your ECB’s. I’m going to assume that you start out with zero ECB’s to start with, or it makes it too difficult for others to follow. If you do have ECB’s to start, you can reduce your OOP to almost zero.

For more information on the abbreviations used in this post, please see my Coupons 101 article. For more information about shopping at CVS, visit my CVS 101 article.  For additional scenarios, please visit Keeping the Kingdom First or Deal Seeking Mom.

Although I am repeating the first 2 transactions (AGAIN) this week, they are part of the bonus deals that are good through 2/14.  You can do each of the Soy Joy and Oust deals 6 times total, so even if you did them the last 2 weeks, you will still be able to do them again if you have enough coupons.

Transaction #1

Buy Oust Air Sanitizer $3.99 each ($7.98 total) – Bonus Days item (limit 6)
Use B1G1 Oust Surface Disinfectant & Air Sanitizer, exp. 2-28-10 (SS #2 1/3/10)

Total after Coupons: $3.99
ECB’s Earned: $6.00

Transaction #2

Buy Soy Joy Bars 6 ct. $6.00
Use $6.00 ECB’s from previous transaction

Total after Coupons: $0.00

Nice job!

There are $2.00 Dove deo. printables which would have given you an “extra” $2.00 in play money :) (unless of course you prefer Degree :) )

Thanks, Toni! I thought the Dove deodorant printable was just for the Visibly Smooth (not the Ultimate), but it looks like it worked for you.

Oh…I did get the Visably smooth – it’s part of the sale too. I thought it was part of the “ultimate” line – I could be wrong LOL Anyway – It did work – so if you have to make another trip, maybe you can fit them in :)
