Every year my kids and I decorate the tree together and then cuddle on the couch watching a movie. It’s my favorite part of the season as we sit back and relax and forget about the hustle and bustle of the season for awhile.

My favorite Christmas tradition is putting on a Carpenters Christmas CD and driving around the fancy parts of town to look at all the lights! Afterwards, we stop at Braums and get egg nog ice-cream!

This Christmas will go down as the best ever. Instead of overloading in gifts, our extended family decided to do Dirty Santa. Everyone ended up with a useful gift with NO stress. This was the most laid back holiday season ever and I loved it!

This year we left the cooking behind on Christmas Day and went out for Indian Food. The spicy curries were wonderful on such cold day and there was no clean up! I think we just started a new tradition! :)

The yummy Christmas dinner and the time with our family.
We tend to be way too busy and the break gives us fun time together.
We shop, sleep in, eat, play…..and reconnect!

My favorite Christmas memory is that of sitting together as a family with my 4 children on Christmas eve and watching the movie “A Christmas Story”. We have watched it so many times that we all can recite the whole movie by heart, but it wouldn’t be the holidays without watching that movie.

Christmas Eve is my father’s birthday so we celebrate his birthday then head to midnight mass. On Christmas day, we usually visit more family then come home to a quiet dinner with just my sister & her family! It’s much quieter & calmer with just the 10 of us!
