Progresso Panko/Broth Review & Giveaway

progresso shadow Progresso Panko/Broth Review & GiveawayThis year, I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about Panko bread crumbs, but I had yet to try them.  Thanks to MyBlogSpark, I received a box of Progresso Panko and Progresso Broth to sample.

I’m not a big fan of fried chicken (at least the kind I have to make), but chef Michael Chiarello has a fun video on the Progresso site showing how to use the Panko bread crumbs to make faux-fried chicken in the oven.  So, I followed his instructions, and last night we had the faux-fried chicken for dinner.  It definitely earned a thumbs  up from my husband and I, and it will be making it’s way into my menu plan again.

The Progresso broth was tasty, too.  I normally make my pea soup with plain water to cut down on the costs, but I used a mix of water and broth when I made it this time, and it added additional flavor to the soup.

There are currently 3 Progresso coupons available to print: $1.00/2 Progresso products (excluding soup and broth), $0.50 off Progresso broth, and $1.10/3 Progresso soups.

I’d make the italian onion soup. I’m always trying to find a good recipe for that.
