Last night my family and I went to the circus. Neither my husband, myself, nor my boys had ever been to the circus before, and we LOVED it! We will definitely be visiting the circus again when they come back to town.
Growing up, I loved the “Shoes” series, and one of the books was Circus Shoes, so that’s how I had my picture of what the circus would be like. And it was just like I pictured it would be…there were riders doing tricks on the back of horses, trapeze artists, a tightrope act on a motorcycle, tigers, elephants, clowns, and so much more. I can’t tell you how many times last night my jaw dropped, because I couldn’t believe they just did that.
If you live in the metro Detroit area, it’s not too late to visit the circus while it’s still here for the following upcoming performances:
- Friday November 20: 7:30pm
- Saturday November 21: 11:30am, 3:30pm, 7:30pm
