CLOSED: Pink Together: Support Breast Cancer Awareness & Giveaway

I’m sure by now you’ve seen all the pink packaging in the stores in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness this month.

Besides pink packaging, General Mills is also supporting Pink Together, a national campaign to support those impacted by breast cancer and to help raise awareness of the disease. General Mills is donating $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Plus, they will also donate $1, up to $20,000, each time you post a comment of encouragement, send a virtual flower bouquet or share a story on PinkTogether.com in October.

The Pink Together site is an amazing site where many people have come together to share their stories, from survivors to those newly diagnosed with cancer.  You can read the stories, sort by name, city, etc, and send virtual flowers to those whose stories you read.

Breast cancer awareness is especially important to me, since I lost one of my grammas to breast cancer many years ago, and the disease has affected other members of my family.  I’m sure that almost everyone knows someone who has been touched by this disease.
