Even if you don’t have much money, you can still give to others in need in others ways. You could contribute your “free” or “almost free” items that you’ve purchased from the drugstores or you can give your time.
- Faithful Provisions compiles a list of Food Donation Deals each week on her blog from a list of grocery stores. You can either use the list to purchase for others in need or build your own stockpile (if needed).
- Dominos Pizza is sponsoring GamesThatGive. Basically, you can play computer games on their site for free (like Solitaire, Soduku, Memory, Word Search) and 70% of the ad revenue on the site goes to your favorite charity (such as Feeding America, jumpstart, Ronald McDonald House Charities, or The American Heart Association)
- Save Lids to Save Lives – For every Yoplait yogurt lid you send in, Yoplait will donate $0.10 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.
- Redeem Proctor & Gamble coupons – for every coupon that you redeem from the 9/27 PG insert, P&G will donate $0.02 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Do you know of any other sites that take very little effort, but reaps great rewards for charity? I know there’s more out there…some that I’ve visited lately, and I can’t think of them. Please leave a comment, if you know of some and I’ll add them to the list (with credit for you).
