There are several stores that have weekly or monthly free in-store events for kids. Here’s a round-up of the upcoming activities.
Lakeshore Learning Store – they have a weekly in-store activity for kids, age 3 and up. The events take place between 11 and 3 in every store.
This week (10/17), your kids can make a silly scarecrow from craft sticks. Thanks Amy @ Who Said Nothing in Life is Free?
- Michaels – Michaels has crafts for the kids at least once a month. This month on 10/25 between 1 and 3 pm, the kids can create a Halloween t-shirt. You do have to purchase a t-shirt (not sure if you can bring one in) and they can decorate it for free using Michaels paint supplies.
Michaels is also offering a Halloween event on 10/31 between 10 am and 12 pm. Visit Michaels for a free trick-or-treat pail, various small crafts, and candy. Of course the freebies are only while supplies last.
Lowe’s - the next Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic is on 10/25 between 10 and 11 am. Your child will have the chance to make a Frankenstein Magic Trick kit. You do need to register for these free events.
- Toys R Us – Kids can visit Toys R Us on Halloween between noon and 3 pm in costume and receive a reusable bag, which they can fill up with goodies and giveaways (while supplies last). Employees will also be dressed up and Geoffrey the Giraffe will be in-store.
