If you live near one of these GGP malls, visit your local mall website and sign up to receive a free $10 mall gift card. For example, you can sign up for a $10 gift card to Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights here. I found the sign up page by clicking on events at the local mall page.
Once you sign up, the mall will send you a voucher to your e-mail address, and you will need to take the voucher to the mall during the Shop Smart Event on 9/17-9/19 to claim your $10 gift card.
I’m sure these will go fast, but when I checked my local mall, there were still 490 gift cards left.
To clear up confusion…there are actually 2 mall gift card promotions going on right now…the first one is the Shop Smart promotion where each mall is giving away 500 free $10 gift cards…no purchase necessary. The second promotion requires you to purchase $75 worth of items from the mall, and bring in receipts to get a $10 mall gift card. The second promotion is not a great deal…unless you already planned on purchasing $75 at the mall.

I guess it's good, but it says you have to show receipts totaling $75 to get the $10
I don't actually see that it says you have to show receipts. If you look at the terms here (http://www.shopsmartlookfab.com/Legal), it states No Purchase Necessary.
Actually you're both right. If you go to http://www.ShopSmartLiveFab.com you'll see a scrolly thing. The 1st screen says get a $10 GC with $75 recepts. The 2nd screen says enter your info to get a $10 GC voucher by email.

Thanks for clearing it up, Keri. I went back and looked, and they are 2 separate promotions…the free $10 gift card is definitely the better deal
