Have you ever wanted to learn how to decorate cakes, but didn’t know where to go to take classes? Or were the classes not in your budget?
Michaels offers 4 different cake decorating classes, and the class fee is 40% off during the month of August. Classes start the week of August 2nd, and you’ll have to contact your local store for the prices (I didn’t see them on the website).
My mom was a cake professional with her own wedding cake business, and I remember when I was a child, she started with the Wilton cake decorating classes. The following courses are available:
- Course 1 – Discover Cake Decorating
- Course 2 – Flower and Borders
- Course 3 – Fondant and Tiered Cakes
- Fondant and Gum Paste Course
Although I already make homemade birthday cakes for my family, I have thought about taking the classes for awhile. Just think how creative I could be if I actually knew how to make “real” borders on my cakes!
