Home Depot

When we first moved into our house, I tiled both our bathroom floors. I ended up watching a video on tiling and reading some tiling books from the library. It would have been so much easier to attend a workshop and let the pros teach me how to do it! It’s really not a hard job once you know how to do it, and it made such a difference in my bathroom (although anything was an improvement over the carpet squares the previous owner had installed :-) ).

Anyway, Home Depot is offering a free tiling class at their stores on Thursday, March 26 from 7:00 – 8:30. Click here to sign up if you’re interested. I would call the store before 3/26 to ensure that your store is participating, since one reader left a comment that she showed up for a class and the store wasn’t offering it at that time.

I took the regular tile workshop at Home Depot with my husband and it was really great! I highly recommend this if you are embarking on a tail job yourself. I do caution that you call the store ahead of time though. My mom and I showed up for a Do-It-Herself class and the store was not prepared and they did not have the $10 coupons. I had got a sitter and was very disappointed. They did give us a 10 off 25 coupon from something else, but I had come to learn. Jut wanted to let you know.

Thanks, Tia for the comment. I’ll add an update to the post, because I would hate for that to happen to anyone.

Yea, I signed up and my hubby will be coming as well. We just became homeowners and we want to learn to do things ourselves. This is a great way to learn!

Thanks!
