Have you ever wanted to make some of the cute handmade items that you see around the internet (or at craft shows), but you weren’t sure how to create them?

I discovered a site called YouCanMakeThis. It was created by a mom who wanted to provide downloadable instructions on how to make just about anything from children’s boutique clothing and jewelry, to handbags, home decor and more. What makes the site unique is that these instructions are written by everyday moms who have an expertise in an area. They are written in a way that makes you feel you have a friend sitting right next to you, telling you what to do next. They all have detailed instructions and step-by-step full-color photos so even the most “craft-challenged” person can make these items for their homes and families.

You can make this!

If you’d like to try out some products for free, you can sign up for their FREE newsletter. After sign-up, you’ll receive a link to your email inbox asking you to confirm your subscription. Simply click on that link, and you’ll receive all of these product instructions pictured here, plus an online video and digital scrapbooking frames. It’s a great way to see exactly how their instructions work.

I’ve already signed up for the newsletter myself, and the ebooks are great! I’m not very good at sewing…meaning I don’t have much experience… (although I do own a sewing machine) and the instructions are so detailed and with great pictures, that even I can make these projects. They were kind enough to send me the boys tie e-book, and I’m excited to get started trying to make my boys some cute ties.

Would you like to win a $50 bundle of even more DIY instructions? The giveaway bundle includes a Child/Adult Apron Set, Women’s Reversible Wrap Skirt, The “She Loves Me, She Loves Me KNOT” Handbag, The Reversible Patchwork Bucket Hat, Easy-Fit Pants, and Boys Ties (see the picture below for what’s included). Here’s how:

This is really going to sound silly, but I really really wish I knew how to make a home made pie crust and how to make those fluted edges. I have tried so many times and I obviously am doing something seriously wrong. I can’t even flute a Pillsbury pie crust.

How fun. I’d love to make any of the twirl skirts for my girls, and the peasant dress and easy fit pants, aprons…..I could go on.

I’d love the basic cake decorating one. I’m really bad at it but I’m sure it is from the lack of knowledge.
