Welcome to "Cents"able Momma! If this is your first time visiting, you may want to sign up to receive free updates through an RSS feed (like Google Reader) or a daily e-mail newsletter. If you are new to couponing, I recommend this Beginners page. Thanks for visiting!

Each week, I’m listing the frugal things that we’re doing in our household, both to hold myself accountable and to perhaps give you some ideas. For more ideas, visit Jennifer @ Getting Ahead.

  • While at my in-laws last weekend, my father-in-law cut my husband’s and the boys’ hair, saving us a trip to the barber.
  • Got some good deals at Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS.
  • I had filled a prescription in November (11/08), and the medicine was expiring 2/09, so I went back to CVS, and they gave me another bottle for free.
  • I earned enough money from several survey sites for a payout, so I should get a few checks in the next couple of weeks.
  • My cash-only experiment for extras is going well…only 2 more days to go this month! I’m all out of money for now, but it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll write more about this later.
  • I shopped at Kroger this week (I don’t usually go there), and I saved $0.20 for using my own cloth shopping bags.
  • I invited several of my 5 year old’s friends over for playdates this week, saving the money that would have been spent meeting them someplace else.
  • I got some freebies in the mail
