It's very handy. We buy the "Forever" stamps at Costco. That way, even if the stamps go up, we can still use the Forever ones at the lower price. I was one of those people who jumped on the paperless bill pay bandwagon early on. <br/><br/>Before online bill pay I would pay over the phone until many companies started charging a fee.<br/><br/>In addition, when you pay through the company directly unbeknownst to me, what I was doing was giving them access to make withdrawals from your account.<br/><br/>I have had a company take out money on an occasion when I did not authorize a payment. Rather than having multiple companies with access to my accounts the on-line bill pay allows one company (my bank) to handle distributing the payment that I authorize.
