My CVS Trip this Week

Well, I had to go to CVS, since I had $18 in ECB’s expiring today. I had my trip planned, and I forgot that (of course) the store was out of stock of several of the items. Since I had $18 in ECB’s, I had to buy quite a bit. They were out of the December deal Complete Eye Solution (for $8.99 with $8.99 ECB’s) which would have helped me roll the ECB’s. They were also out of the Quattro Titanium razor, which was another pretty high priced item (before ECB’s). So, I was looking through the flier for other items to purchase (since I hadn’t brought any coupons other than my “deals”), and I remembered the deoderant, which I didn’t have coupons for anyway…but the Soft & Dri had $0.55 peelies on them! For help with any of the coupon terminology, refer to my Coupons 101 post.

Purchased:
(2) Right Guard deoderants $2.99 each ($5.98)
(3) Soft & Dri deoderants $2.99 each ($8.97)
Brut deoderant $3.79
Colgate Total Advance toothpaste $2.99
(2) CVS Fish Oils B1G1 50% $16.48

Used:
(3) $0.55 Soft & Dri peelies from the deoderants
$1.00 Brut QP from December All You magazine
$1.50 Colgate printable QP (see page 4)
$3.00 off $15 CVS purchase QP (received in mail in October)
$18.00 ECB’s

Total paid: $13.10

ECB’s Received:
$10.00 ECB’s for Right Guard and Soft & Dri deoderants
$2.00 ECB’s for Brut deoderant
$2.00 ECB’s for Colgate toothpaste
Total ECB’s Received: $14.00

Also asked for a raincheck for the Quattro Titanium razor, which I can purchase later for $3.99 and use my $4.00 QP from the December All You magazine.

The CVS I shop at will take expired ECB’s. I was told me they never actually ‘expire’. Also, they will give rainchecks for ANY item that is out of stock (w/ECB). I just used one today for the GUM toothbrushes they had over a month ago. They were able to manually print the ECBs after I paid. This worked great as I also had tons of ECBs to roll that expired a couple weeks ago.
