If you plan on shopping online for an item anyway, why not earn some extra money back as part of placing your order? There are several companies out there where you can earn cash back when you shop online. One of them is UPromise which allows you to earn money for college (you can see my article about UPromise here). Another one is Ebates where they send you a check every three months (when your total is above $5).
Ebates is currently running a promotion where you can earn $10 in your account just for signing up and making a qualifying purchase by October 31st. That’s what I did when I signed up, and it helps give your account a boost from the very beginning.
How Ebates Works
- Sign in to Ebates
- Search by item or by store to find what you’re looking for
- Ebates will show the stores where you can find the product as well as any coupon codes that can used for the transaction
- Click through the link to shop
- Ebates will credit your account with the % of purchase applicable to the store (for example, earn 4% back at Overstock.com)
