Hi! I found your blog through the "Apron Full of Giveaways" page. And actually, what caught my eye was your name! Is it really Corrie, or is it short for something? It's my name, and that's it! I think I've met like, 2 other Corries ever, total. =)

Hi Becky,

This is actually my first year as a tax professional and I work at one of the tax services (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say here), so it's great for scheduling hours, since we're all part-time. I usually work about 7-10 hours a week, so I'm not away from my family too much. It's definitely a pay decrease from my pre-kids job, but it allows me to still stay at home (and I find it fun to work a few hours a week).

I try to give lots of different tips on small things that you can do at home to make a few dollars here and there (every little bit counts). This post (http://www.centsablemomma.com/2009/03/earn-extra-money-mystery-shopping.html) is kind of a summary of all the ways that I try to earn extra money.

Hey Centsable Momma! I am excited to find your blog! I am a relatively new SAHM--I worked as an auditor with Ernst & Young previously, and we had our 1st child when I was 31, so I am still in the learning curve!
I am curious if you were doing tax work prior to being at home, and if you have any ideas on doing accounting work from home?
At EY, even "flex-time" wouldn't work for us, with two small children 2 & under, because there are still seasons where you're working 40 or 40+ hrs/week, and at that point, I might as well get a full-time job with regular hours and find consistent childcare.
All that to say, I'm looking for ways to add to the "bottom line" of our household--in both cutting costs and increasing income--so I'm excited to find any ideas you might have!
Thanks for sharing!
